The Aquarium was a nightclub in the Old Town of Ulm. It gained national fame for its prominent guests and its extravagant parties.
The Aquarium was operated by the restaurateurs Garry Lottermoser and Manfred Zauter from 1966 to 1999 in Ulm at Kohlgasse 20 in the Old Town.
Many German and international celebrities, such as Curd Jürgens, Udo Jürgens, Nina Hagen, the Spider Murphy Gang, Nana Mouskouri, and Wolfgang Ambros, regularly visited the place when they were in Ulm. World stars like Deep Purple and Freddie Mercury were also among the regular visitors. Freddie Mercury even celebrated his 39th birthday at the Aquarium on September 7, 1985, and maintained a close friendship with Lottermoser and Zauter until his death in 1991. He also regularly invited them to his concerts.
