The Vorgebirgsplatz in the Cologne district of Zollstock is a former green space that is now a protected monument and playground.
The small park was created in 1911 and 1912 as an ornamental facility with a fountain. The design is by landscape architect Fritz Encke, who, as royal garden construction director and Cologne's municipal gardening director, also designed numerous other parks and squares in Cologne. It originally covered an area of 0.23 hectares.
