The Fraunhofer Institute for Algorithms and Scientific Computing is an institution of the Fraunhofer Society. The institute is located in Sankt Augustin on the Birlinghoven Castle campus, and its activities are in applied research in the fields of applied mathematics, numerical analysis, and computer science. SCAI develops innovative methods in the field of Computational Science and implements them in industrial practice. In doing so, SCAI combines mathematical and computer science knowledge with a focus on algorithms.
