The Kirchenlamitz Castle was a district castle and later the seat of the district court in Kirchenlamitz in the Upper Franconian district of Wunsiedel in the Fichtelgebirge.
The castle from the 16th/17th century was, like the Epprechtstein castle, the seat of a bailiff in the Six-Counties region of the Margraviate of Brandenburg-Bayreuth. In the Second Margrave War, the castle was burned down in 1553. Johann Theodor Benjamin Helfrecht still describes the complex as a water castle in 1795. From 1812, the castle was the seat of a Bavarian district court of older order until 1879, and then until 1959 the seat of a district court. A renovation of the building was carried out from 2008 to 2013.
