The village well on Vechtestraße dates back to the 16th century; it features a Renaissance casing with flying buttresses and a cross. According to legend, the statue of grace is said to have been located in the well from 1566 to 1584 and was then brought out unharmed. For this reason, it is also referred to as the Mary Fountain.
