On 30 April 1945, the Möllering villa in Häcklingen became Montgomery's headquarters and was located near the hill Timeloberg, which offered a beautiful view of the surrounding area. It was not forested then as it looks now. The (partial) capitulation, and the end of the war, took place here on May 4 and therefore Montgomery renamed the hill "Victory-Hill" and placed a commemorative plaque there, which was destroyed and stolen several times
The German authorities have not yet decided how to proceed with this building.
