Small Loitz

Klein Loitz is located in Lower Lusatia about twelve kilometers east of the town of Spremberg. Surrounding localities include the northern district of Hornow, which belongs to the town of Spremberg, Bohsdorf in the northeast, Reuthen in the southeast and south, Bloischdorf in the southwest, and Wadelsdorf, which again belongs to the town of Spremberg, in the west and northwest. The district roads 7106 and 7107 run through Klein Loitz. The federal road 48 from Spremberg to Döbern runs about two kilometers northwest of the village.

Watercourses include the Tranitz, which flows from the south to the northwest, as well as the village ditch Klein Loitz, which is dammed at two points to create small ponds. Just before the mouth of the village ditch Klein Loitz, the Tranitz is also dammed into a small pond, the former mill pond of the now vanished watermill. In the southern part of the district lies the small doctor pond. In the eastern part of the district, there are more ditches. The village is situated at an elevation of about 133 m above sea level. The highest point, at 160 m above sea level, is located in the southeastern part of the district. The lowest point is at the Tranitz at the western boundary of the district, at about 119 m above sea level.
