Pannewitz, Upper Sorbian, is a village in the eastern Saxon district of Bautzen and has been part of the municipality of Neschwitz since 1993. The village is located in Upper Lusatia and is part of the Sorbian settlement area.
The village is situated about nine kilometers northwest of the major city of Bautzen and four kilometers south of the municipal center in the Upper Lusatian region. Pannewitz lies on the northwestern slope of the Schwarzwasser valley. To the west, the terrain rises about 50 meters towards Neulauske and Guhra; the small stream flowing to the south is about five meters lower than the village.
