Langburkersdorf is a former independent village that belonged to the newly formed municipality of Hohwald from 1994 and became a district of Neustadt in Saxony in the district of Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains in 2007.
The village is located directly to the east of Neustadt. It lies between the Hohwald and the northern foothills of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. To the south, it is bounded by the elevation of Ungers, to the north by the Hohwald, to the west by Neustadt, and to the east by the Czech national border. The Polenz and some of its tributaries flow through it.
