The villa was built after the Villa Ende, which was constructed in 1864/65 in Berlin-Tiergarten, Siegmunds Hof 22, for the architect Hermann Ende. The execution was carried out by the company Ende & Böckmann. Due to the construction of the S-Bahn line, the villa was demolished. According to Wolfgang Brönner, the property must have already been "affected by the S-Bahn" in 1882. According to Irmgard Wirth, the demolition did not take place until 1893. In 1892/93, the architect Friedrich Gericke, a student of Ende & Böckmann, built a nearly identical copy of the villa in Potsdam for his aunt "Mrs. City Councilor E. Gericke".
Marked by strong weathering, the buildings and park were restored and replanted between 2005 and 2008 by the lawyer couple Jörg and Barbara Zumbaum. In 2017, the business consultant Knud Brandis, originally from Potsdam, acquired the ensemble and completed the renovation.
