War Memorial Chörau

The War Memorial of Chörau is a memorial in the municipality of Osternienburger Land in the district of Anhalt-Bitterfeld, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It is a listed building and is registered as a small monument in the register of monuments with the registration number 094 70260.
The small memorial site stands in the centre of Chörau on a square formed by the village street east of the church. It consists of an upright stone and a slab in front of it. The inscription stone, probably a boulder, names the dates of the First World War, which are located to the left and right of the Iron Cross. Below is the dedication to your fallen heroes, followed by a list of the 18 fallen, each with military rank and the date of death, according to which they were sorted from top to bottom. At the lower end follows the client: the municipality of Chörau. Today, the complex is surrounded by leaves, and the inscription on the lying tablet is difficult to decipher.
