Wildbad Kreuth is a district of the municipality of Kreuth, located near Lake Tegernsee in Upper Bavaria. It is owned by the Dukes of Bavaria from the House of Wittelsbach and is inhabited by Helene in Bavaria. The place was used by the Tegernsee Monastery as a spa and attracted prominent guests in the 19th and early 20th centuries.
The sanatorium operation ended in 1973. From 1974 to 2016, it was used as an educational center of the Hanns Seidel Foundation. The name gained national prominence through the Kreuther separation resolution passed here during the CSU's retreat conference.
