Middle Dumme and Püggener Moor

Mittlere Dumme und Püggener Moor is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony town of Wustrow and the municipalities of Luckau, Waddeweitz, Clenze and Bergen an der Dumme in the joint municipality of Lüchow in the district of Lüchow-Dannenberg.

The nature reserve with the designation NSG LÜ 332 is around 1351 hectares in size. It is to a large extent part of the 4931 hectare FFH area "Landgraben- und Dummeniederung" and the 3970 hectare EU bird sanctuary "Landgraben- und Dummeniederung". In the southeast it borders on the nature reserve "Luckauer Holz", in the southwest on the nature reserves "Gain", "Obere Dummeniederung" and "Schnegaer Mühlenbachtal" and the landscape conservation area "Gain - Mühlenbach - Obere Dummeniederung". The previous nature reserve "Salzfloragebiet bei Schreyahn" and parts of the former landscape conservation area "Püggener Moor" were merged into the nature reserve. The area has been under protection since 3 November 2018. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Lüchow-Dannenberg.
