The Knight's Staircase is a staircase carved into a rock on the Devil's Wall near Timmenrode in the district of Harz, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany.
It is also known as the stone staircase and is located on the northern outer wall of the Teufelsloch cave near the Hamburg coat of arms. The knight's staircase consists of individual steps carved into the rock. Near the foot of the rock, the ascent begins over thirteen steps. The stairs reach a large rock window of the Devil's Hole. Slightly offset to the west, the knight's staircase then leads along the edge of the window over another 28 steps up to the top of the rock. To the side of the staircase there are various rock carvings. An older carving of a cross to the right of the lower part of the staircase is remarkable. The motive for the installation is unclear.
