The Elend War Memorial is a listed war memorial in the village of Elend in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. The monument commemorates the misery of the citizens who died in the First and Second World Wars.
On the site of today's monument there was previously a swampy pond. The area was then redesigned. For the erection of the monument, a granite boulder was brought in from the Schierke area and erected on a pedestal made of natural stones. On its north side, a bronze plaque with the names of the six citizens of Elend's who died in the First World War was embedded. The plaque was created in the Fürst-Stolberg-Hütte in Ilsenburg. The area around the monument was designed as a park. Deciduous trees were planted. Later, spruces and shrubs were added. In addition, benches were set up and a circular path was created. In addition, a hunter's fence was built. Two oaks were planted on both sides of the path leading directly to the monument from the north.
