Gerblingerode is a village in the municipality of Duderstadt, in Lower Saxony, Germany. In 1973 the village was annexed to Duderstadt.
Gerblingerode is mentioned for the first time in a charter from 1151. The village, which from the middle of the 15th century belonged to the eleven council villages of Duderstadt, experienced a lot of misery in the 16th to the 19th century due to war violence, plague epidemics, crop failures and famines. In the 18th century, the production of textiles in cottage industries brought only temporary relief.
