Gamburg is a district of the municipality of Werbach in the Main-Tauber district of Baden-Württemberg. The formerly independent municipality has belonged to the municipality of Werbach since 1975 and had 666 inhabitants as of December 31, 2013.
Gamburg is located in the lowest narrow section of the Tauber valley, at a former fording point of the river and the confluence of the Maisenbach stream into the Tauber, geographically belonging to the Tauberland with the transition from Muschelkalk soils to Buntsandstein sediments. Politically, Gamburg lies on the border of Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria.
