Schwaney is a village and a former municipality in the district of Paderborn, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
About 2,700 inhabitants live in the village.
Schwaney is located about twelve kilometres east of Paderborn at the western foot of the Egge Mountains in the Teutoburg Forest / Egge Mountains Nature Park. West of Schwaney, whose municipal area lies between 240 and 395 m above sea level, is the Paderborn plateau.
