Odenheim is a village in the district of Karlsruhe in the Kraichgau region, which was incorporated into Östringen in 1974. Since the High Middle Ages, the Odenheim Monastery was located in the place, which had a significant influence on the development of the town until its dissolution in 1802/03.
Odenheim was first mentioned as Otemheim in 769 in the Lorsch Codex. The village is located on an old Roman road and was likely a meeting place for tribal assemblies during the Germanic period.
