The Cuxhaven Hospital located at Altenwalder Chaussee 10–12 in Cuxhaven serves basic and standard medical care for people from the district of Cuxhaven and Helgoland. Since 2014, the former city hospital has been part of Helios Kliniken GmbH as Helios Clinic Cuxhaven, with 191 planned beds. The building is under Lower Saxony monument protection and is included in the list of historical monuments in Cuxhaven.
