The nature reserve Eastern Teutoburg Forest is located within the city limits of Bielefeld in North Rhine-Westphalia.
The area, consisting of two segments, extends south of the city center of Bielefeld and north of Brackwede, a district of Bielefeld. To the west, the B 61 runs, and to the east, the state road L 788.
