Suttrop is a village in the municipality of Warstein, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, with a population of 3370 . In fact, it is attached to the northeastern edge of Warstein itself, and is separated from it only by the freight railway to Lippstadt.
Suttrop had a small iron ore mine from the late 18th century to the late 19th century.
Since 1911 a large psychiatric institution has been established there, where, among other things, people suffering from all kinds of addictions are admitted.
