Saalhausen is a district of Lennestadt, located in the North Rhine-Westphalian district of Olpe, with 1760 inhabitants as of June 30, 2020, with the proportion of senior citizens being comparatively high at 20.1%.
Saalhausen is located about two kilometres south of the Hoher Lehnberg, which belongs to the Saalhausen Mountains. It is located in the upper Lenne valley between Altenhundem and Schmallenberg at an altitude of 320 m above sea level. Neighboring villages are Gleierbrück , Bracht , Störmecke and Milchenbach . The Bundesstraße 236 runs through the village.
