Saalhausen è una frazione della città di Lennestadt, situata nel circondario di Olpe nel Nord Reno-Westfalia, con 1760 abitanti al 30 giugno 2020, dove la percentuale di anziani è relativamente alta con il 20,1%.
Saalhausen si trova a circa due chilometri a sud del Hohen Lehnberg, che fa parte delle montagne di Saalhausen. Si trova nella parte alta della valle del Lennetal tra Altenhundem e Schmallenberg a un'altitudine di 320 m sul livello del mare. I paesi limitrofi sono Gleierbrück, Bracht, Störmecke e Milchenbach. Attraverso il villaggio passa la strada federale 236.
