The Klinikum Wilhelmshaven gGmbH is a hospital owned by the municipality in Wilhelmshaven, Lower Saxony. Until 2014, the hospital was named Reinhard-Nieter-Krankenhaus after the former mayor Reinhard Nieter.
The Klinikum Wilhelmshaven is an academic teaching hospital of the Medical Faculty of the University of Hamburg and is responsible for the training of future medical professionals. The nursing school at the North Sea of Klinikum Wilhelmshaven gGmbH provides training in generalist nursing education. Additionally, there is an educational academy at Klinikum Wilhelmshaven that offers training and further education as well as qualification measures for hospital staff and external employees in the healthcare sector.
