Mülheim-Heimaterde is a district of the city of Mülheim an der Ruhr, which belongs to the district of Heißen.
The name goes back to the settlement "Heimaterde," whose construction began in 1918 at the initiative of the Krupp executive Max Halbach through the settlement cooperative "Heimaterde" e.G.m.b.H. According to the plans of the Mülheim architect Theodor Suhnel, the houses of the first construction phases were completed by 1929. In the 1930s, more buildings were added, and a few houses were demolished around 1960.
