Niedermörmter is a district of Kalkar. Niedermörmter is located about 8 km east of Kalkar, on the left bank of the Rhine opposite Rees.
Niedermörmter once belonged to Rees. At that time, the Rhine had not yet separated the two places, and Niedermörmter was on the right side of the river. However, the Rhine changed its course and now flows east of Niedermörmter.
