The old residential building "Lau", a typical two-post construction, has shaped the townscape of Alt-Geeste for more than 200 years. However, it stood too far at the edge on Biener Street. Therefore, it was relocated to Osterbrocker Street – and now completes the new town center as a homeland house next to the church, kindergarten, school, sports hall, and youth center.
Around 100 members of the local heritage association are regularly active here. In addition, the "Deele" for up to 200 people and the "Stube" for up to 40 people are also available for events to other groups and associations.
