The Lohheider See, also known as the Lohheidesee, is a former quarry pond on the edge of the Baerler Busch recreation area in the Duisburg district of Baerl in the Homberg/Ruhrort/Baerl district of North Rhine-Westphalia.
Surrounded by forests and fields, Lake Lohheider is around 67 hectares in size, a maximum depth of 14 metres with a sandy subsoil and 1.6 km long. It has very few shallow water zones and two islands that are not allowed to be entered. Its banks are predominantly lined with trees, some of which are also in the water.
