The Roman Catholic Church of St. Peter and Paul in Troisdorf-Eschmar is a branch church of the parish of St. John in Sieglar.
On June 27, 1937, the church of St. Peter and Paul was consecrated after a construction period of only seven months. It was not until 45 years later, on 29 June 1982, that the actual church consecration followed. Since 1927, attempts had been made to raise the construction sum through private donations. The foundation stone for the new building was laid on 22 November 1936 by the Sieglar pastor Franz Boehm, who was murdered in the Dachau concentration camp in 1945. The first own pastor for Eschmar from 1941 to 1946 was Father Wunibald Weber, Benedictine monk of the abbey on the Michaelsberg in Siegburg.
