Hundred mornings

Hundertmorgen is a hamlet belonging to the district of Ueberau in the city of Reinheim, located in the southern Hesse district of Darmstadt-Dieburg. The settlement is referred to by locals in the dialect as Die Hunnertmoje.

The hamlet is situated at the southeastern edge of the district of Ueberau on a ridge of the Reinheimer hills, subunit Southern Reinheimer Buckel, which separates the two valleys flowing north of the Gersprenz and the Semme. In a clockwise direction around the settlement, to the east is Ober-Klingen, to the south the hamlet of Hippelsbach and the Kohlbacher Hof, to the west across the Gersprenz is Groß-Bieberau, and to the north-northwest is the Reinheim district of Ueberau. Geologically interesting is the reddish Zechstein dolomite occurrence located between the Odenwald sandstone. Hundertmorgen is almost completely surrounded by agricultural land that utilizes the excellent loess soils.
