This Eifel viewpoint, at an altitude of 340 meters above sea level, on the Bildchesberg offers you a panoramic view in a south to northwest direction, with two core areas of the Eifel National Park in sight. / The name of the Eifel viewpoint is based on the following event: The teacher, who formerly taught at the school located in the Burgflecken, built the first refuge on the Bildchesberg together with his students. When a student asked how long they would have to work there, the teacher replied: "We will stay here until the moon shines!" Since then, the Bildchesberg has been referred to by the locals as "the Luna." / You can best reach the Eifel viewpoint via the hiking trail 49, the Kloster Runde.
