Hiking in the mining region is also a route through "my" region. From the centre of the Kerkrade Residence, the route leads from the free parking lot to the Rolduc monastery complex and from there along Rode Castle in Herzogenrath along the Broichbach. This beautifully varied stream valley with its many springs, moors and marshland leads to the Ottenburg Castle Zoo as the furthest point of this hiking route. Let yourself be surprised by the natural beauty of this area.
