We did this short but surprisingly tough hike on 01/28/2024

It's a nice route for the (not too small) kids. On the way, you will also have the opportunity to descend to the "Tränenlay", which is really worth it. The way back requires a good level of fitness from the hiker. On a distance of 600m you climb 170m.

The photos in the album are a small selection of the many beautiful things to see.

Sturdy shoes and possibly walking sticks are recommended.

"The most impressive rock formation on this route is probably the "Green Hell". Hardly a ray of sunshine illuminates the narrow gorge. It gets its intense colour because the sandstone absorbs water like a sponge – the best conditions for mosses, algae and lichens.

Along the narrow paths, countless other bizarrely shaped rocks with special names such as the Pfarrstuhl, the Monkey's Head or the Owl's Nest can be admired. But there are also cultural monuments such as the Maria Theresa Stone and beautiful viewpoints. From the Lingelslay, a rocky outcrop, for example, you have a beautiful view of Bollendorf and the Sûre valley.

The "Green Hell" audio tour will give you even more information about the route. Keep an eye out for tales from Bollendorf, such as Paul's smugglers' tales. There will also be music, health tips and much more."
