The Hohenzollern Way of St. James is the easier of the two routes across the Swabian Alb. It leads from Hechingen through the deeply carved, charming valleys of the Starzel, Fehla and Lauchert rivers to Sigmaringen and on through open countryside to Meßkirch. Only from Killer up to Ringingen is there a larger ascent to contend with, although this can be bypassed along an alternative route.
