A rewarding short tour to the south-western local mountain of St. Ingbert, the "Großer Stiefel".
The tour takes you past the "Stiefeler Fels" rock formation, the Heinrich-Kohl-Hütte (Stiefeler Hütte), the Stiefeler Schloss castle and beautiful rock formations.

The area around the Großer Stiefel is now a wonderful hiking area, especially in summer, in the shady deciduous forest. Once you have reached the Stiefel, you can stop off at the Stiefeler Hütte. There are also several places to stop for refreshments in Sengscheid.The St. Ingbert boot is a unique red sandstone rock that has been shaped by water and wind and may have been the object of religious worship in Celtic times. The shape of the natural monument resembles an upturned shoe or boot. Today, the lower part of the boot has weathered into a natural column and supports the upper mass of stone, on which a massive stone lies
