Ins Frohnsbachtal

A mostly shady circular hiking trail, the special attraction of which lies in the route through beautiful valley landscapes and along ponds. If you like it, you will also find a newly created fitness trail as part of the tour and can complete the tour accordingly. The Triebscheider Hof beer garden is located near the route for a break.

The "Ins Frohnsbachtal" hiking trail is a leisurely circular route that mostly leads through the forest. The Griesweiher pond and the Sägeweiher pond invite you to take a break. If you prefer a hearty meal, the beer garden at the Triebscheider Hof and the fishing hut at the Griesweiher pond are the perfect places for you. Please note the opening times here! The tour has only two gentle climbs and is therefore also suitable for families with children. If you want to extend the tour, you can hike in the direction of Würzbacher Weiher or Geistkircher Hof.

Notes on the Geistkircher Chapel and Geistkircher Hof:

The Geistkircher Chapel was built in 1901 and served as the house chapel of the neighboring farm. The chapel did not always stand in the same place. When the current railroad line was built, the old chapel had to be demolished and was then rebuilt in the same year using the quarry stones and beams from the old chapel. It still serves as a pilgrimage chapel today and can be visited. In the neighboring farm store of the Geistkircher Hof, which is run by the Beck family, you can buy a variety of home-made products such as numerous sausage and meat specialties from cattle that graze on the pastures in the Geißbach valley in the summer months and are kept in the spacious playpen with a warm straw bed in the winter months. The farm store also sells products from partner farms.</p
