In spring, you can see water crowfoot, irises and water lilies here, with grass frogs and water frogs hiding among the floating leaves.

Along the old Roman road, the view of the "Schaumberg", the local mountain of the St. Wendel region, nestled in the Saar-Hunsrück Nature Park, opens up again and again.

For hikers interested in cultural history, a detour to the "Wareswald" excavation site about 800 meters away is recommended. At the intersection of two Roman military roads, an important Roman settlement was built here in the 1st century AD, the foundations of which have been uncovered in recent years.
