9th stage Märkische Umfahrt - Great canoe tour on the Spree and Dahme

In this stage, a not very long but exciting observation tour towards Werder begins. Initially, you cross the lake to Alt Schadow, where you can get smoked fish from the local fisherman. Behind the lock, various nature reserves begin on both sides of the Spree. Twisted old arms open up the view to extensive meadows as well as oak, floodplain, and bog forests on the left. These serve as important retreat areas for otters and rare bird species. Please note that only arms without entry prohibition signs may be navigated to protect the animals from disturbance.
