A beautiful walk leads past the Kleiner Treppelsee lake and then on round the Großer Treppelsee. You should start this walk from the parking area by the B246 near the Bremsdorfer Mühle youth hostel. If you have enough stamina and enjoy walking, you can extend the hike by diverting off to Lake Hammersee. Here, you can visit the Forsthaus Siehdichum. Its name can been translated as the “Look Around You Forester’s House” and, as you might guess, there is a wonderful view across the Schlaubetal Valley from the restaurant terrace.
