Circular Hike Werbellin Canal – Lake Rosenbecker See

The tour runs in the shape of an elongated figure eight along the picturesque Werbellin Canal, through varied forest and the unique flora and fauna along Lake Rosenbecker See. The circular trail passes the bison memorial, the Ascanian tower, past the 700 year old oak, through the small village of Rosenbeck, over the lock and finishes back in Eichhorst.
Length: 9 kilometres

Start / finish: Parking area at the lock bridge in Eichhorst (in the direction of Altenhof)

Logo/markings: On the first part of the hike, the “Rundweg Askanierturm” (Askanian tower circular trail) is marked with a yellow dot. From the Eichhorst lock you follow the red and then the yellow bar to the lock and finally the green bar.
