In the first stage, the route leads from the Zoological Garden and Flora and Fauna in the Forest Botanical Garden of the green forest city of Eberswalde into the Barnim Nature Park towards Biesenthal. 135 km in 7 stages - thats what it says on the circular hiking trail Around the Schorfheide. It starts in the forest city of Eberswalde, leads through the Barnim Nature Park towards the Schorfheide, into the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Beech Forest Grumsin and finally into the Schorfheide-Chorin Biosphere Reserve. From the pulse of the lively Eberswalde, we follow soft natural paths without detours to rediscover slowness. Step by step, we enjoy the Nonnenfließ meandering through the dense beech forest.We walk through the charming village center of Schönholz and a forest area before reaching the first Nature Park train station in Melchow - no wonder, as no other nature park in Germany has as many train stations as the Barnim Nature Park.
