Description by the author

A small but particularly beautiful and versatile hiking area. The name Schenkenländchen comes from the noblemen who resided here for several centuries.Length: 11 kilometres (3 to 4 hours)Start/finish: TeupitzLogo/route sign: yellow spot against a white backgroundHow to get there:Public transport: From Berlin Ostkreuz with the RB24 (Senftenberg) to Gross Köris. From here continue with Bus 727 to Teupitz (about 1.5 hours).Car: From Berlin via the A13 and L74 to Teupitz (about 1 hour).Route: Teupitz, Lake Tütschensee, Tornow, Lake Tornow, Lake Briesensee, Mittelmühle, Lake Hohe Mühle, Lake Tornow, TeupitzRoute description: You hike along the shores of Lake Tütschensee, Lake Tornow and Lake Briesensee. The deciduous and coniferous forest surrounding the lakes alternates with undulating open land. Since the area is safely marked, different path variants can be combined with each other.
At Lake Briesensee there is an attractive resting place and the other two lakes also offer bathing possibilities. At the southern end of Lake Tornow, a powerfully bubbling natural spring is particularly worth seeing. Located at the mill pond is the Gaststätte Mittelmühle restaurant, and next to it the sawmill which is still in operation. The hike can be finished either here, or at the small park in the centre of Teupitz.
In the afternoon there is a boat trip across the Teupitz lakes almost every day. This trip is highly recommended, as the lake is otherwise only accessible in a few places along its shore line.Possible combinations66-Lakes Hiking TrailTrail conditions/surface: not specifiedMaps/literature:"Wanderungen durch Brandenburg", Trescher Verlag.
