Description by the author

The city of Brandenburg uses its supplement “Havel” not only to distinguish itself from the federal state of the same name: the aim is to instantly make tourists aware of the distinctive charm of this “cradle of the Marches”, especially since its location on the waterfront is not limited to the river. On the tour between Brandenburg and the Kirchmöser district, cyclists can see for themselves how the Havel fills a large basin on the western edge of the city. It is so large that it bears the names of several lakes. This “ocean” provides a wide range of beautiful resting and picnic spots for day trippers.Length: 34 kilometresStart/finish: Brandenburg an der HavelLogo/route sign: green and blue sign with white reed symbolDirections:Train: From Berlin Zoologischer Garten to Brandenburg a.d.
