Third Stage “66-Lakes Hiking Trail”: Water, Woods and Expanses

The stage from Brieselang to Hennigsdorf offers plenty of variety. Sandy forest paths, the vastness of the open landscape and the picturesque banks of the Havel Canal make for a delightful hike packed full of impressions. This hike initially takes you along the Havel Canal and through the town past houses with well-tended gardens and then into the forest. On the right you will pass pine trees, birch trees and 100 old oak trees, and on the left, meadows and poplar trees, and the Havel Canal a little further away. You return to the bank of the canal across open fields one last time on this 66-Lakes Hiking Trail. Finally, at the Schönwalde lock, you say goodbye to the waterway. The remaining few kilometres to Hennigsdorf take you through woods or along the edge of woods.
