An easy circular tour through the Bettelwald and Allmendwald forests with far-reaching views and forest passages from the Ommersheimer Weiher pond.
The Bettelwald trail is a varied tour in the Mandelbach valley that is around 6 kilometers long. The numerous small bodies of water create a mysterious aura around the forest area, which is one of the few old forest stands in the Bliesgau. There are numerous animal and plant species to marvel at here. The oak-hornbeam forest is particularly beautiful in spring, when numerous early bloomers cover the forest floor with their colorful flowers. According to legend, the Hun king Attila is buried in this forest area.
