Odenwald-Madonnen-Radweg

The Odenwald-Madonnen-Radweg runs around 175 km from Tauberbischofsheim to Speyer and has been awarded four stars by the ADFC as a quality route.

The Odenwald-Madonnen-Radweg runs through a vacation landscape that is affectionately known as the "Madonnenländchen" . And this is no coincidence. There are numerous statues of saints, wayside shrines, crosses and sacred buildings, churches and chapels to discover along this cycle tour, with each stop telling its own story.

The cycle route leads through the densely wooded low mountain range landscape of the Neckartal-Odenwald Nature Park. In Mudau-Langenelz, you can then opt for an alternative route.

For inexperienced cyclists and families with children, we recommend the slightly longer but less steep eastern route. Via Limbach, Fahrenbach and on to Mosbach, you reach the beautiful Neckar Valley and cycle on from here to Zwingenberg, where the two routes merge again.

If, on the other hand, you are looking for uphill experiences and long descents, choose the shorter but steeper western route via Waldbrunn.

Along the Neckar, downstream to Heidelberg and then on to the cathedral city of Speyer, you can experience a fantastic atmosphere of religious history on the 174 km long Odenwald Madonna Cycle Route. The long-distance cycle route is well signposted and also provides interesting cross-connections to other themed cycle routes in the highly varied cycling region.
