Wine & Architecture in the Wine South

This overall tour combines four stages as well as all Wine & Architecture seal holders. The tour leads from the north of Baden-Württemberg to the south of the country. All 30 stops represent impressive wine highlights and promise a unique wine experience as well as special buildings. Along the route are some excellent wine southern wine towns worth visiting. Those planning a stay in an equally excellent wine southern hotel will find special accommodations along the route.From Northern Baden-Württemberg, this tour leads, among other places, through the state capital and the Breisgau to Lake Constance. Comprising a total of four stages, the overall tour over a length of over 800 km showcases the best of what the southern wine region has to offer in terms of architectural highlights. The tour connects all 30 holders of the Wine & Architecture award with each other. The award was initiated by the TMBW together with the Architects Chamber of Baden-Württemberg. Whether winery, wine shop, or viewpoints amidst the vineyards - they all combine wine, tourism, and architecture in a special way.Starting from the starting point in Weikersheim, the tour goes via Weinsberg towards Heilbronn. After a few stops at outstanding wineries, a wine information pavilion awaits visitors in Besigheim. Further stations follow in Hessigheim, Korb, Großheppach, Weinstadt, Winterbach, and Kernen before heading to the Wine Museum in Stuttgart. From here, the route leads, among others, to Weingut Weber, Weingut Abril, and further towards Kaiserstuhl and Freiburg. The route ends in Nonnenhorn on Lake Constance, where one can reflect on the journey over a glass of wine.
