A leisurely cycle tour in the Leintal valley with numerous parks and play areas along the way. Highlights for kids include the Leintalzoo and experimenta.

In the recommended direction of travel, the somewhat hilly section through the vineyards from Schwaigern to Heilbronn is on the first half of the tour. The section along the Leinbach is largely flat.

The tour is perfect for playground and picnic hopping. With the Eichbottseen lakes, the Ziegeleipark Böckingen and the Leinbachpark, there are three exciting rest stops along the route - each with water for splashing around, a recommendation for hot summer days.

Hits for kids

For a longer break or as a motivating destination on the tour, the Leintalzoo zoo or the experimenta Heilbronn - both of which are subject to a charge

Between Leingarten and Schwaigern, the Leintalzoo animal park in Schwaigern has numerous animals, play and adventure stations waiting to be discovered. The experimenta Heilbronn offers lots of exciting things for all age groups - the ForscherLand is designed for children aged 4 and over. The Leintalzoo and experimenta each have their own catering facilities.The Heuchelberger Warte is recommended for a "reward" afterwards on this tour. The adventure beer garden with a great view, large play area and accessible waiting tower is not directly on the route and the way up is a bit of a challenge without an e-bike. A walk up to the observation tower could be a welcome change for fit kids. The "Heuchelberg Hupfer" is a little more comfortable.
