An ideal family tour with lots of nature

The starting point of the tour is the market square in Wadgassen with its numerous parking options. Here - where the Bist flows into the Saar - we follow the course of the left tributary of the Saar, which has its source in Lorraine, towards the village of Werbeln. After a short time, the lush mixed forest of Wadgassen opens up to the right.Further on, you pass the village of Differten. On the section towards Überherrn, cyclists can enjoy the whole variety of the landscape: through the magnificent Bisttal floodplains, in shady mixed forest to the romantic Hofgut Linslerhof (A) with an ideal rest stop in the beer garden. After a while, we reach the turning point of the Bisttal cycle path in the village of Überherrn via extensive fields. The family-friendly park pool there (at the campsite, approx. 1.5 km) in a quiet location is well worth a visit. The Überherrn fish pond is a wonderful place to relax in idyllic natural surroundings.
Experienced cyclists also have the opportunity to cycle up to the Europa monument in Berus (9% gradient over 1.5 km) and enjoy the fascinating views of France and the Saar valley.

Back in Wadgassen, the newspaper museum, which explains the historical development and technical production of newspapers, and the "Myland" shopping outlet center in the historic ambience of a former crystal factory invite you to linger. The Parkbad Wadgassen, the largest natural swimming pool in Saarland, tempts you to take a dip in the cool water or enjoy a delicious refreshment in the beer garden.
